The Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) has ordered the recall of an affected batch of Babies’ Magic Tea – Baby Sleep Gripe Water in the UAE after finding undeclared alcoholic ingredients in the product and determining that it lacked valid marketing authorisation.
The recall was announced under Administrative Circular No. 45 of 2026, issued by the EDE.
The establishment said the affected batch was being withdrawn because the product contained alcoholic substances that were not disclosed in its ingredients and did not have valid marketing authorisation in the country.
Healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals have been instructed to comply with the circular and follow the procedures for recalling the affected batch.
Health regulatory authorities have also circulated the notice to pharmaceutical establishments, directing them to comply with the withdrawal measures.
