The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has increased fuel prices for June 2026, marking its first pricing revision since leaving the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) and Opec+ in May.

Under the new rates, effective from June 1, Super 98 petrol has risen to Dh3.95 per litre from Dh3.66 in May, while Special 95 has increased to Dh3.83 from Dh3.55. E-Plus 91 petrol now costs Dh3.76 per litre, up from Dh3.48. Diesel prices, however, have fallen to Dh4.33 per litre from Dh4.69.

Fuel prices in the UAE are reviewed monthly based on average global oil prices and distribution costs approved by the Ministry of Energy.

The latest increase comes amid continued uncertainty in global energy markets linked to tensions in the Middle East, despite an ongoing ceasefire and diplomatic efforts.

The UAE formally exited Opec and Opec+ on May 1, ending more than 60 years of membership. Analysts say the move could allow the country to increase oil production beyond previous quota limits, potentially influencing global oil prices in the coming years.
