A Dubai-based jeweller has transformed his son’s Lego football trophy into a diamond-studded masterpiece inspired by the FIFA World Cup, blending childhood creativity with luxury craftsmanship.

Hemant Karamchandani, owner of Passion Jewellers, said the project began at home when he saw his 10-year-old son spend days building a Lego trophy. Wanting to encourage him, he later elevated the creation into a gold and diamond artwork.

The design was inspired by football’s biggest stage, with an 18K gold FIFA World Cup plate added before the piece was further developed in his factory using wax modelling, gold casting and diamond setting.

The final work features around 900 diamonds and took nearly a month to complete, with an estimated value of nearly Dh300,000. The piece is not for sale.

Karamchandani said the project reflects Dubai’s creative and innovative spirit, adding that it will be taken to schools and institutions across the UAE to inspire children and young people. He also hopes to eventually display it at the Museum of the Future.

He said the idea was to encourage his son’s imagination while also celebrating football, adding that the message behind the project is that no dream is too big when supported by creativity and dedication.
