The UAE is expected to witness generally fair weather through Monday night and Tuesday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The weather authority said a weak low-pressure system extending from the east, coupled with a high-pressure system from the west, will continue to affect the country’s weather conditions.

Humidity levels are likely to increase during the night and early Tuesday morning, especially over northern coastal areas, raising the possibility of mist formation.

Winds are expected to blow at light to moderate speeds, occasionally becoming stronger at 10 to 25 kmph and reaching up to 40 kmph in some areas. The winds will be northwesterly to southwesterly across coastal, island and inland parts of the country.

Temperatures in coastal and island regions are forecast to hover between 32°C and 37°C, while inland areas could see highs between 35°C and 42°C. Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 24°C to 28°C along the coast and between 20°C and 24°C inland.

Humidity levels may reach up to 90 per cent in coastal areas, while inland humidity is expected to range between 65 per cent and 85 per cent.

Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are expected to turn rough in western areas by Tuesday morning before gradually calming later in the day. The Oman Sea is forecast to remain slight.

Meanwhile, the highest temperature recorded in the UAE on Monday was 42.5°C in Um Azimul in Al Ain at 3pm local time, the NCM said.
