A cat named Chuuti, who went missing at Dubai International Airport on October 11, has been reunited with his owner, Sri Lankan national Avishka Kaumadi, after a 10-day search.
Chuuti was found inside a baggage carousel tunnel following an extensive search by airport staff and was subsequently transported to Sri Lanka.
Kaumadi said the cat recognised her voice when they were reunited, bringing an end to days of anxiety and uncertainty.
She thanked SriLankan Airlines, dnata, Dubai International Airport and members of the public who helped locate her pet.
Chuuti had gone missing while being prepared for transport as air cargo on a SriLankan Airlines flight from Dubai to Colombo.
