Dubai Police rescue teams responded to 5,732 incidents and emergency assignments across the emirate in 2025, recording an average response time of 5.6 minutes, ahead of the target of 6.7 minutes.
The Search and Rescue Department handled a range of emergencies, including road accidents involving trapped victims, falls, entrapment incidents and people locked inside vehicles, homes and lifts.
The figures were revealed during an annual inspection of the General Department of Transport and Rescue by Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri.
During the visit, Al Marri reviewed operational performance, emergency preparedness and plans to introduce artificial intelligence and data analytics to improve rescue operations, resource allocation and response times.
He stressed the importance of continued investment in specialist training, modern technologies and international best practices to strengthen emergency response capabilities and ensure public safety.
The inspection also recognised five Dubai Police personnel for their contributions to rescue operations, innovation, engineering and professional development.
Al Marri praised the department’s personnel for their dedication and called for continued improvements in operational efficiency, field readiness and the use of innovative solutions to protect lives.
