Motorists across the UAE will pay significantly more for fuel from October 1 after the UAE Fuel Price Committee announced the latest monthly rates.
Super 98 petrol will rise to Dh4.40 per litre, from Dh3.80 in September. Special 95 will increase to Dh4.28 from Dh3.69, while E-Plus 91 will rise to Dh4.21 from Dh3.61.
Diesel will also become more expensive, increasing to Dh4.80 per litre from Dh4.30.
The increases are likely to affect household budgets, particularly for residents who rely on private cars for daily commuting. The UAE reviews retail fuel prices each month in line with global energy-market conditions.
For expatriate families already managing housing, school, transport and remittance costs, the higher fuel rates could add another expense to monthly budgets.
