Al-Futtaim Automotive is recalling 892 Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the UAE because of a software issue affecting the front-recognition camera.
The recall covers selected Lexus NX models manufactured between 2021 and 2023, Toyota Crown vehicles made between 2022 and 2024, and Toyota bZ4X vehicles produced between 2021 and 2023.
The fault could cause the camera’s memory to become corrupted when the vehicle is switched off. In that event, the pre-collision system may not operate when the vehicle is restarted, while warning lights, messages or audible alerts could appear.
Inspections and the required software update will be carried out free of charge. Owners of affected vehicles are advised to contact Al-Futtaim Automotive for further information.
