A new Abu Dhabi academy has enrolled 38,643 learners from 260 organisations to provide role-specific training for frontline tourism employees.

Participating organisations include 149 hotels, 27 attractions and 18 cultural sites. The programme covers workers who interact directly with visitors throughout the emirate’s tourism sector.

Training is delivered through AI-supported online modules covering service standards, operational efficiency, Emirati hospitality and cultural knowledge.

Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director-General for Tourism, said the academy was intended to give tourism workers “the knowledge, skills and confidence” to deliver consistent service.

The initiative forms part of Abu Dhabi’s wider visitor-experience programme, which sets common standards across airports, hotels, cultural sites, attractions, shopping centres and other tourism touchpoints.
