Travellers of all nationalities can apply for Dubai’s five-year multiple-entry tourist visa, provided they meet the eligibility and financial requirements.

The self-sponsored visa allows holders to enter and leave the UAE multiple times without requiring a local sponsor or host. It is intended for tourists, family visitors and business travellers who make frequent trips to the country.

Visitors may stay for up to 90 days during each one-year period, either continuously or through multiple visits. The stay may be extended by another 90 days, but the total must not exceed 180 days within the period. Unused days cannot be carried forward.

Applicants must submit a passport valid for at least six months, a recent photograph, valid health insurance, a return ticket and attested bank statements covering the previous six months.

They must also demonstrate that they maintained a balance of at least US$4,000, approximately Dh14,690, or its equivalent during that six-month period.

The application costs approximately Dh3,713, including a refundable Dh3,000 financial guarantee. Additional charges may apply when applying from within the UAE or changing visa status.

Applications can be submitted through the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs Dubai’s online smart services. Applicants must create an account, select the five-year tourism entry permit, complete the form, upload the required documents and pay online.

Once approved, the digital entry permit is sent by email. The visa must initially be used within two months of issuance, although this entry period may be extended for another two months. Details published 7 September 2026
