Hotels and resorts across the UAE are continuing to recruit as tourism growth and new developments increase competition for experienced hospitality workers.
Core vacancies remain concentrated in front-office operations, food and beverage, housekeeping, culinary work and guest services. Employers are also seeking candidates for revenue management, sales, finance, human resources, engineering and information technology.
Recruiters said digital confidence, familiarity with hotel-management systems and an ability to work with automated processes were becoming more important alongside communication, cultural awareness and problem-solving skills.
Catalina Susan, general manager of Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, said the challenge was increasingly about finding people with “the right combination of skills, attitude and adaptability”.
Employers are also placing greater emphasis on career progression, training, workplace culture and employee retention as hospitality projects expand across the Gulf.
