An Abu Dhabi family is offering a Dh15,000 reward as its search for a missing Maltese dog continues more than two months after he disappeared.
Jiku, a two-year-old microchipped white male, went missing from Al Mushrif on July 3—two days after the family moved to a home near Mushrif Mall.
Possible sightings have been reported around Al Nada Girls’ School, International Community School and a nearby petrol station, but none has led to his recovery.
The family has distributed flyers, contacted veterinary clinics across the seven emirates and established a volunteer messaging group to co-ordinate the search. The reward is being offered without questions to anyone who safely returns the dog.
Anyone with reliable information can contact the family on 056 298 0817 or 055 610 5319. Residents who find a lost animal should avoid chasing it and, where possible, record the location and direction in which it travelled.
