A rare 1935 Rolls-Royce Phantom II valued at approximately Dh44 million has been displayed at a classic-car exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
Only 37 examples of the model were produced, and just nine are believed to remain. The vehicle on display has retained its original configuration rather than undergoing modern modification.
Its cabin features natural leather and a glass partition separating the driver from rear passengers. The car has no air-conditioning, relying instead on front openings to direct air into the cabin.
Other period details include externally mounted spare wheels and a distinctive black finish reportedly created using fish scales in the paint.
When new, the vehicle cost £65,000—an amount estimated to have been sufficient to purchase between seven and ten British houses at the time. The exhibition also included a 1949 Riley RMC and a collection of historic UAE registration plates.
