Employment visas accounted for more than half of 22,823 customer transactions completed across several Dubai development zones during the first half of 2026.

Authorities processed 11,603 employment-visa transactions, representing approximately 51 per cent of the total.

A further 7,923 transactions involved labour disputes, no-objection certificates, occupational health cards and services for people who were not sponsored. Establishment-card services accounted for 1,271 transactions, with another 2,026 recorded in other categories.

The services cover areas including International City, Palm Jumeirah, The World Islands, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Maritime City, Al Jaddaf and Jebel Ali Village.

Customers can complete eligible procedures through the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation’s website and application or visit its customer-service centre.

Workers and employers should confirm which authority administers their employment area before applying, as procedures can differ between mainland companies and free-zone jurisdictions.
