UAE residents can now register for Starlink satellite internet following the award of a 10-year operating licence covering broadband services in the country.
Residential packages are listed at Dh300 a month with unlimited data and a 30-day trial. Hardware starts from Dh1,465 and includes a Wi-Fi 6 router, while a Dh300 deposit is deducted from the eventual equipment cost.
The service advertises speeds exceeding 400Mbps, although performance and availability may vary according to location and network capacity.
Customers can check their address and submit their personal, delivery and payment details through the official UAE pre-order page. However, the company has not provided a confirmed date for the start of residential service.
The licence also permits satellite connectivity for businesses, government entities, aircraft and maritime operations, expanding an earlier approval limited to maritime internet services.
