Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has raised Dh65.721 million through its 121st open auction of distinguished vehicle number plates, with CC44 fetching the highest price of Dh6.72 million.

The auction, held on Saturday (October 24) at Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City, featured 60 distinctive vehicle number plates with two-, three-, four- and five-digit combinations.

The highest-selling plates were:

CC44 – Dh6.72 million

BB18 – Dh6.62 million

BB80 – Dh5.9 million

BB117 – Dh1.016 million.

The plates were offered under 10 codes: AA, BB, CC, H, U, V, W, X, Y and Z.

The RTA said the results reflected its strategy of conducting open and online auctions based on neutrality, transparency and equal opportunities for participants. It added that distinctive number plates hold symbolic value for their owners and reflect individual preferences.
