The UAE is heading into another unsettled spell of weather, with rain expected across several parts of the country over the coming days.

The National Centre of Meteorology said convective clouds are expected to develop over eastern areas before spreading towards some inland and western parts. Rain is forecast in parts of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, while eastern areas are expected to receive the most frequent showers.

Some convective clouds could produce small hail, while winds may strengthen to as much as 50km/h, potentially lifting dust and reducing visibility. Mountain areas could also see water flowing through wadis following heavier rainfall.

The unsettled conditions are expected to continue through Thursday, although the low-pressure system influencing the weather is forecast to weaken later in the week. Humidity may also increase overnight and during the early morning, bringing a possibility of fog or mist in some areas.

Residents planning trips to mountain or desert areas are being urged to monitor weather updates and exercise caution around wadis and areas affected by sudden rainfall.
