Residents across the UAE can access free breast-cancer screening services this month as the Pink Caravan begins its 2026 campaign.
The initiative, organised by Sharjah-based Friends of Cancer Patients, is running more than 75 clinic activations during October, including fixed and mobile clinics, workplace visits and community events.
Eligible residents can receive free clinical breast examinations and mammograms. The programme is open to both women and men, with eligibility requirements applying to mammography services.
The campaign is designed to make early detection more accessible by bringing screening services into communities rather than relying solely on hospital visits.
For Sri Lankan families living in the UAE, the programme is a useful reminder that preventive health services are available within the community and that October provides an opportunity to check eligibility and screening locations.
