Etihad Rail is set to bring passenger rail services to Dubai on September 30, with the opening of Al Yalayis Station in Jumeirah Golf Estates.
The launch will connect Dubai with Abu Dhabi by rail, with the journey from Al Yalayis to Mohammed Bin Zayed City Station expected to take around 57 minutes.
The station will also be linked directly to Dubai Metro’s Red Line through a 400-metre elevated pedestrian walkway connecting it with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station.
The opening marks the next major phase of the UAE’s national passenger rail network, giving residents and visitors another option for travelling between emirates.
Sharjah’s Al Dhaid Station is also scheduled to open on September 30 as part of the same expansion.
