Long-range weather models indicate that the UAE could receive above-average rainfall between October and January as the country moves into its cooler season.

Meteorologist Ahmed Habib cautioned that the forecast did not automatically indicate extreme rain or flooding. “Nobody can give the exact amount with certainty,” he said.

El Niño can influence global atmospheric circulation, but rainfall over the UAE will ultimately depend on local moisture, temperatures and pressure systems.

Residents have been advised to rely on official forecasts rather than social-media claims about possible extreme weather. Daytime temperatures could meanwhile continue reaching 44°C to 46°C during the seasonal transition.
