Dubai welcomed approximately 869,000 international overnight visitors in August, its highest monthly figure since February 2026.
Double-digit monthly growth recorded since March increased total international visitation to 6.97 million during the first eight months of the year.
Western Europe was the largest source region, accounting for 20 per cent of visitors. South Asia contributed 17 per cent, followed by the Gulf region with 16 per cent and the Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe with 14 per cent.
Hotel occupancy reached 66 per cent in August, up from 36 per cent in March and equivalent to 89 per cent of the level recorded in August 2025.
Dubai hotels registered 21.61 million occupied room nights between January and August, while the city’s hotel inventory approached 149,000 rooms.
Air connectivity has also continued to recover. Emirates has restored 97 per cent of its global network, while passenger load factors at Dubai International Airport are approaching their 2025 levels.
The Dubai Government has introduced a Dh2.5 billion support package for tourism, hospitality and entertainment businesses as the sector recovers from disruption earlier in the year.
