Temperatures could reach 46°C in parts of the UAE on Friday, with increasing humidity expected to create a risk of fog and mist during the weekend.
Liwa is forecast to record the highest temperature, while maximums could reach 43°C in Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain, 41°C in Sharjah and 40°C in Dubai.
Humidity could rise to 90 per cent in Dubai and 85 per cent in several other emirates. Fog or mist may develop over coastal districts overnight and into Saturday morning before spreading to some inland areas.
Similar conditions are expected during the remainder of the weekend, with winds occasionally reaching 40kph.
