Dubai Police has opened registration for the fourth cohort of its Policing Innovation and International Leadership Diploma, inviting police officers from the UAE and overseas to apply.

The programme, organised in cooperation with Rabdan Academy, brings together police professionals from different countries for academic and practical training focused on modern policing and leadership.

Dubai Police said 156 officers from 69 countries have taken part in the programme since its launch, including 130 men and 26 women.

Participation has increased from around 45 officers in 2024 to 53 in 2025 and 58 in 2026.

Major General Badran Saeed Al Shamsi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academy and Training Affairs at Dubai Police and Head of the Diploma Project, said the programme had developed into an international platform for preparing police leaders and encouraging the exchange of knowledge and experience between security organisations.

He said participants were expected to take the knowledge and expertise gained through the programme back to their respective institutions and countries.

The diploma covers areas including leadership, police innovation, future foresight, security planning, risk management, digital transformation and emerging technologies.

It combines academic study with practical and training components, drawing on international expertise in security, leadership and innovation.

Brigadier Mohammad Atiq Thani, Director of Dubai Police’s Regulatory Office and Deputy Head of the Diploma Project, said the programme continues to be updated in line with developments in artificial intelligence, technology, leadership and future policing.

He said the fourth cohort would seek to attract more police professionals from around the world while strengthening international cooperation and the exchange of policing practices.

Police officers from the UAE and other countries can register through the Dubai Police website, while enquiries can be directed to pil@dubaipolice.gov.ae.
