Dubai Police completed 104 strategic and operational technology projects over the past year and deployed 36 robotic process automation (RPA) robots across administrative and operational tasks, as part of efforts to expand the use of artificial intelligence across policing and public services.
The achievements were reviewed by Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri during his annual inspection of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence.
During the inspection, Al Marri reviewed performance indicators, operational readiness and major technology projects supporting Dubai Police’s digital transformation.
The General Department of Artificial Intelligence completed 104 strategic and operational projects during the past year, covering smart systems, digital services and other technology initiatives aimed at improving efficiency across different policing sectors.
Dubai Police also said 36 RPA robots are currently being used for a range of routine and administrative processes.
The automation of these tasks is intended to speed up procedures, improve productivity and allow personnel to focus on more specialised work.
Dubai Police also reported a 99.97% continuity rate for public services during the current year, while system continuity stood at 99.92%.
Al Marri was briefed on the force’s wider AI transformation plan, which aims to expand the use of artificial intelligence across police, administrative and operational activities.
The plan includes the use of data-driven tools to support decision-making, improve response times and develop more proactive policing solutions.
He also reviewed the Dubai Police AI platform, which supports data analysis, procedure automation and the development of smart tools for employees and members of the public.
Another initiative presented during the inspection was a smart assistant for Smart Police Stations, aimed at making policing and security services faster and more accessible through round-the-clock digital systems.
The General Department of Artificial Intelligence also reported receiving seven awards and certificates of recognition for its projects and initiatives, while 29 intellectual works have been registered.
Al Marri stressed the importance of continuing to invest in both advanced technology and specialised human expertise as Dubai Police expands the use of AI.
He also called for continued improvements in system readiness, business continuity and digital services, while encouraging teams to develop further technology-driven initiatives across police operations.
