Air France has resumed flights between Dubai and Paris following about six months of disruption linked to regional tensions and airspace restrictions.

Services to Dubai and Riyadh restarted on August 26. Flight AF655 from Dubai to Paris was scheduled to depart shortly after midnight on August 27.

The French airline said its continued operations would remain subject to assessments of the rapidly changing regional security situation.

The restored service provides UAE residents with another direct connection to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, which also serves as a hub for onward travel across Europe and other destinations.

Dubai Airports said demand for the returning Air France service was strong as international airline capacity gradually recovered. Air France flights to Beirut, however, remain suspended until September 1.
