Rain is expected across parts of the UAE until Friday (August 7) as atmospheric conditions favour the development of convective clouds, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said.
The NCM said moisture from the Sea of Oman, rising temperatures and the influence of eastern mountains could lead to afternoon cloud formation, bringing rain of varying intensity in some areas.
Eastern and southern parts of the country are likely to experience rainfall initially, with winds strengthening at times and reaching up to 50 kmph in some areas, causing dust.
The possibility of rain will continue through the week, with eastern, southern and western regions among the areas that could be affected.
Despite the rainfall, temperatures will remain high, with maximum temperatures expected to reach 45°C to 50°C in internal areas.
