
The Emirates Group received 3.5 million job applications during the 2025-26 financial year and hired nearly 9,700 employees, according to its annual report released on Thursday.
The Group said its total workforce grew by 8 per cent to 130,919 employees as recruitment continued globally to support expanding operations at Emirates and dnata.
A new technology platform, Masar, helped hiring managers shortlist around 390,000 candidates and onboard more than 9,700 employees in the UAE during the year.
Emirates airline added 5,515 employees, increasing its workforce to 74,980, while dnata’s workforce also grew by 8 per cent to 55,939 employees.
The Group’s UAE national workforce exceeded 4,000 employees, reflecting efforts to attract and retain local talent.
The announcement came as Emirates Group reported record profits for 2025-26 and awarded staff a bonus equivalent to 20 weeks’ salary. Emirates airline also retained its position as the world’s most profitable airline, posting a record pre-tax profit of Dh22.8 billion.
Chairman and Chief Executive Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum credited employees for the Group’s success, praising their professionalism, commitment and resilience.
